Blockchain Domains: A Double-Edged Sword in the Cybersecurity Landscape with Drew Bagley

By

Drew Bagley, Vice President and Counsel of Privacy and Cyber Policy at Crowdstrike shared his thoughts with the DNSRF team following the recent Blockchain roundtable event (co-hosted by Crowdstrike) in Washington DC. He had some interesting key takeaways from ‘The Elephant in the root’ discussion, namely that there is a lot of development in the Blockchain community with regards consolidation and governance.

The discussion covered some of his concerns for Blockchain domains and how it is likely there will be more use of blockchain domains for cybercrime infrastructure. In addition, from a cyber security perspective it is so much easier to do a correlation analysis in the blockchain system as opposed to the traditional DNS.
