Carolina Caeiro co chaired the recent IETF's Systers initiative in San Francisco

By

Carolina Caeiro, Internet Policy Specialist recently co-chaired the IETF's Systers initiative which seeks to promote gender diversity among IETF participants at the IETF 117 (Internet Engineering Task Force) event in San Francisco. The group discussed ongoing research commissioned by the IETF about women's experience in internet standards development and how to structure Systers work going forward, including the possibility of writing a charter for the group.

The IETF Systers initiative offers women and non-binary IETF participants the opportunity to catch up with friends across all areas of the Internet Engineering Task Force and the Internet Research Task Force.
