The European Commission selected a consortium of over 10 EU-based organisations led by the Czech cybersecurity company Whalebone to develop a new public DNS resolver. Described by the consortium as “an alternative to the current public DNS offered by US-based tech giants,” DNS4EU will become a central piece in European plans to promote digital sovereignty.
