Today is NIS2 Day!

17 October 2024 was the deadline set for each of the EU Member States to have transposed the NIS2 Directive into their national laws. Out of the 27 countries in the EU only Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Latvia and Lithuania have managed to meet this transposition deadline. Greece may have also transposed the Directive into national law but there is very limited information on their transposition progress online.

The majority of the Member States that have missed this 17 October deadline seem to be aiming for transposition of the Directive in early 2025. You can track the transposition progress of each of the Member States on our NIS2 Tracker
