Functional Overview

The Client Side Website Toolkit (CSWT) is the client side software used to execute resolver tests. It is installed on one or more target web servers and typically performs HTTP requests which target the SSCRT directly as well as triggering DNS requests to the SSCRT via the client configured resolver. The CSWT performs the specific requests and related logic required to fulfil a given test session installed on the SSCRT which can then be logged and analysed as described above.

The CSWT is designed to operate in a non-intrusive manner on client websites creating background requests which do not interfere materially with the rendering or performance of the host website. Due to the nature of the CSWT it is possible to execute multiple tests for different domain names simultaneously on the same client website.
